SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty Season 1 Episode 1&2-Genesis

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:31 pm

Alright! Here's a complete synopsis of Season 1 and a synopsis of the first 3 episodes of our Season 2, We're currently on episode 3 of Season 2

SEASON 1

Episode 1&2-Genesis
In the year 2147, with the earth's ability to support life quickly reaching its end, a military-like law enforcement system has been put in place. There is a two-child rule but Jim Shannon and Elisabeth Shannon have a 3rd child, Zoe, in addition to their two permitted children Josh, and Maddy.
Jim enters the residence wearing a Rebreather, and holding a brown paper bag. Josh eagerly goes to his father, asking what is in the bag. Jim takes out an orange, and the entire family is very surprised, implying that fruits and vegetables are in short supply. Josh begins to peel the orange for Zoe.

Suddenly Maddy rushes into the apartment and breathlessly warns her family that she saw the Population Police in the lobby. Immediately they hear a loud knock on the door. They know it is the Population Control Police. Anxiously Elisabeth hides Zoe in an air vent, giving her a toy for comfort.

The police come in and start tearing up the family's home, convinced that Zoe is somewhere in there. They are about to give up when a scared Zoe whimpers from the vent. One of the officers tears open the vent and grabs Zoe. Jim loses control and begins to assault the cops, but the officers are able overpower him, and he is sent to a maximum security jail for an eight-year sentence.

2149

Two years later, Jim is sick in his cell at Golad Prison. Elisabeth enters for a visit and the guard states she has "bought five minutes" with Jim. Elisabeth tells Jim she has been given a place in the Tenth Pilgrimage, but she is not allowed to take Zoe.
She leaves Jim a Rebreather, which contains a hidden laser knife inside.

Hope Plaza
Maddy, Josh, and Elisabeth check in, go through security, and head towards the dilated time portal.
Jim is seen in the plaza, apparently of high security, to get to Terra Nova.

He gets paid assistance getting a certain bag in. He is also seen on camera, breaching a restricted area on his way to the gate. The officers standing by are informed and stop him on the path, where they ask him to come with them. He elbows the guard's face, steals a gun, and runs into the gate to follow his family.

Terra Nova
After the Shannons are reunited after walking through the time portal, a soldier almost runs a knife through Jim's bag and Zoe is discovered hidden in it alive with a rebreather, successfully brought in despite what they were told was allowed.
The tenth pilgrimage has to walk through a path to Terra Nova, and Zoe comments on the sky. Jim is unsure if she remembers him, but is later reassured when she calls him "Daddy".

After entering Terra Nova for the first time, the tenth pilgrimage is greeted by Commander Nathaniel Taylor. He speaks to Jim and Elisabeth, allowing them to keep their family of five for a fresh start, as Elisabeth wanted. Jim is assigned to the agricultural detail.

Meet the Neighbors
The family settle into their new home but Josh makes it clear that his father's actions caused a lot of tension for the family while he was in prison. During their bickering they realize Zoe has wandered off and panic.
Outside, a mystified Zoe approaches something - a brachiosaur feeding on some ferns near the fence. She picks up some of the dropped ferns and gets the idea to feed the dinosaur with the ferns, which it accepts. Both her mother and sister are fearful when they find her being picked up with the leaves, only for Zoe to let go of the leaves and drop back down with a happy laugh at her new playmate.

Zoe's actions attract more colonists and dinosaurs as both species meet their new neighbors.

Sixers

Elisabeth Shannon , a highly qualified doctor, is seen attending a patient. After saying the word "Sixers", the patient suddenly jumps from his bed and puts a laser knife to Elisabeth's throat. After using Elisabeth as a hostage shield and forcing a nearby officer to disarm, the man runs from the medical sector. Jim Shannon notices the man acting suspiciously in another part of camp, and follows him. The man attempts to attack Commander Nathaniel Taylor, but Jim successfully stops him.
Later, Nathaniel and Jim notice a group of Sixers heading toward the colony. After they begin chasing the Sixers, they realize the Sixers are actually fleeing from two Carnotaurus. The attack of the two dinosaurs is repelled, and Jim, Nathaniel and the Sixers enter the colony safely.

Mira and Taylor negotiate the terms of the release of the patient that attacked Taylor, named Carter. Taylor asks for Meteoric Iron in exchange for Carter. Mira also wants some medical supplies. They agree to terms and Carter is released to the Sixers.

Outside the Gates
Josh and Maddy are heading towards the Orientation Meeting when they meet Skye and her friends (Tasha, Max and Hunter). Josh decides to explore Terra Nova with Skye. Maddy prefers to learn about their new home by attending the orientation meeting.

While Jim is tackling the escaping Sixer, Josh and his new friends are exploring Outside The Gates (OTG). They see secret writing on rock cliffs, eat fruits, drink moonshine, and face a new danger when they are attacked by Acceraptors, known as "Slashers". The group take refuge in an armored vehicle abandoned by the Sixers. In the attack, Tasha, Max and Hunter get seriously injured when they panic and leave the armored vehicle. Terra Nova Security (including Jim, Commander Taylor and Elisabeth) comes to their rescue and they all return to the colony safely.
The episode ends with a family reunion between Jim and Josh. The whole family gazes at the big moon.

Symbols

Mira tells one of the Sixers that golden-colored symbols were drawn by Nathaniel Taylor's son.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 3-Instinct

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:32 pm

The episode starts with Lieutenant Okuda and two soldiers going out of the gates to get supplies. There they get attacked by an unseen creature, as they call in to Taylor with the news. The next scene shows Maddy, Zoe and Josh attending a seminar for survival taught by Alicia. And after that the Shannon family is fixing up their house. Zoe keeps a Pitcher Plant and Josh comes home from his community service job. Elisabeth learns about the yellow paint they color their house with. That night Zoe does not want to sleep in her own bed, because she was used to sleeping with her mother for the two years her father, Jim, was in Golad Prison. When Jim and Elisabeth start to get intimate she hears a creature and sends him to go see what it is. It is the unseen animal that attacked the three men, but Jim doesn't know this, so he just scares them away. When he returns, Zoe is sleeping in the bed against Elisabeth.
The next day Taylor and Jim plan to go out to find the missing men, thinking it was the Sixers that attacked them. Elisabeth is working her job when she notices Malcolm Wallace, with whom she went to medical school. Jim then walks in, asking his wife where he can find a medic to come with him and Taylor on the hunt for the men. She offers and introduces him to Malcolm. Malcolm did not know that Jim was out of Golad Prison and in Terra Nova, and is taken aback.

Jim, Taylor and some of his crew head out to try to find the missing men. Before they get to the men, Taylor tells Jim that he wants him to investigate who is giving Mira information from Terra Nova. They arrive at the spot where they find the three missing men. When they get to see the men they notice that their faces are covered in blood. Josh and Skye are walking back from the Community Service job through the market. Josh sees a guitar for sale, while Skye is ordering food. He plays a little bit, which impresses Skye and is also noticed by Casey Durwin, who owns the guitar. Casey tells Josh the guitar sells for 65 Terras, which is a lot. Josh says he can't afford that because he is new, so Casey moves the price down to 60 Terras. Josh says he'll pass.

Elisabeth, Malcolm, Taylor and Jim are in the medical center examining the three men. Elisabeth decides they were attacked from above. Jim notices a claw-like piece on one of the boots and asks if the animal has claws. Elisabeth and Malcolm decide to stay late to work on finding out what creature could have killed the men. Elisabeth tells Jim to take care of the kids. While he does, Maddy asks him "How do you know if a guy likes you?" He says shes too young to be into guys and shouldn't know about them. When Elisabeth comes home, Jim tells her that he forgot to bathe Zoe. She confirms the creature is unknown and new. After Jim presses the issue, she also tells him that she dated Malcolm for a while and that she broke it off.
That night Jim and Elisabeth make an attempt at intimacy once again, when they hear the same noise as the night before. Jim goes outside with Josh, to check it out again. They see the same bird-like creatures, which won't leave. A few more arrive. Josh throws a rock at them and they attack the two. They get inside the house quickly with a few scratches. When Jim sees the scratches that the creatures made on his body, he recognizes the similarity to those that were on the three men that had been recently killed. The next day Malcolm checks out Jim's cut and Jim describes the animal he saw. Malcolm confirms that this is the creature that killed the men. Taylor wants to know why these animals are here. Malcolm says it is because they probably just want food. He also asks for an investigation team, which Taylor declines until they can make everyone safe. Elisabeth quickly agrees but Malcolm wants to fight it. At the end of the scene, Jim finds out that Elisabeth was asked to come to Terra Nova because Malcolm requested her.

The next day, Josh and Skye go back to the market to try to trade some of his things for the guitar. First he tries trading his latest music player that had music from the band Oblivion and Future Shock but when Casey refuses, Josh offers a cap from Jackie Hayes, a baseball player. Casey declines this hat as well, but notices Josh's platinum necklace, which he said he'd take for the guitar. Josh declines, saying it's not for sale. He ends up not getting the guitar. Later, Skye questions Josh if his necklace was given to him by his girlfriend, and Josh says it was. She then asks him what she was like and he answers that she was smart, really funny and has a tough side..."kind of like you" (referring to Skye). Skye then notices a flock of bird-like creatures. Soon they start to attack Terra Nova residents. Josh tries to protect Skye from them.

Malcolm recovers a dead creature from the attack, and finds it to be an unknown type of pterosaur. He thinks that the pterosaurs may be migrating. Taylor reveals that years ago he and others had discovered thousands of egg shells in the ground on which the colony sits. They had decided to make the settlement in this location because of the fertile ground. However, it is deduced that the pterosaurs are attacking because Terra Nova sits upon their breeding grounds, where these creatures had been hatched years before.

Malcolm and Elisabeth tell Taylor that they will need a live male and female specimen of the pterosaurs in order to try to come up with a method of defending against them. Jim heads out of the colony and returns with the two specimens. Upon studying the creatures, Malcolm and Elisabeth find that they can produce an extremely powerful pheromone which could possibly be used to lure all of the pterosaurs away from the colony and to another location where they can breed.

As more and more pterosaurs continue to arrive at the settlement, security team members are stationed all around the colony. Mark Reynolds comes to guard Maddy and the Shannons' home. Jim tells Maddy, "that's how you know a boy likes you." Jim then heads to the Clinic while Elisabeth continues to work on the pheromone there. Skye stays with Josh at the Shannons' house and bets Josh 60 Terras that they won't make it out of the ordeal alive. Pterosaurs force their way into the house via the air ducts, and Mark is knocked unconscious. Maddy, Josh and Skye drag Mark into a bedroom, but Zoe is left hiding in the room with the pterosaurs. Just as a pterosaur is about to get to her, Josh kicks it away and gets Zoe.

Jim and Taylor leave in a transport, spraying pterosaur pheromone behind them. They lead the pterosaurs away from the colony to breed at another location. Skye says she will give Josh the 60 Terras she bet him, and gives him a kiss on the cheek before going to check on her housemates.

Jim and Elisabeth arrive back at their house to find their family is asleep. They retreat to their bedroom.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 4- What Remains

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:34 pm

The episode starts with Dr. Jonathan Guagenti in a room playing with a green beetle. The beetle leads him outside the room, where Jonathan sees wildlife. He takes a look at flowers and plants, and then sees a dinosaur. The Carnotaurus opens his jaws and devours Jonathan.
The next scene, Jim and Elisabeth are talking about why Elisabeth is leaving with the Commander. She says its just to investigate whats going on at Outpost 3, since no one there is responding to communications attempts. She also tells Jim she forgot her wedding ring at the medical facility, asks him to pick it up for her. Lieutenant Washington is then left in command by Taylor. Jim sees that Malcolm has his own rover, while asking why he doesn't get one even though he is law enforcement.

Taylors and Elisabeth arrive at the outpost. They see the gate is open when it shouldn't be, and Taylor notices chewed cables. He notes that Ovosaurs probably did that to the cables. When the team enters the lab, they examine what's happened. They see signs saying "Do Not Go Outside" and "This Is Not A Dream." They hear noises and go into a room to see what's happening. Two people are lying down on beds, and a woman arrives at the door in front of them.

They talk to the woman, who can't remember why she's there. The woman states that the last thing she remembers is running around in snow up to her knees, and then was in the lab. She doesn't know that she's in Terra Nova. Elisabeth and Taylor discover a video in the main lab. It shows a scientist talking about the early stages of the memory loss. Elisabeth finds papers that the scientist wrote, that end up turning into "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." It is revealed that one of the scientists was working on genetic/memory manipulation and created a virus to disperse it. Taylor says that until they know what's going on and how to fix it, nobody's going home.

Back at home, Jim gets the wedding ring. Zoe comes in sick from school. Josh is then seen hanging out with Skye and her friends, playing the guitar he bought from the man. Skye enjoys it.

At the outpost, Taylor finds Dr. Guagenti almost entirely eaten by the Carnotaurus. Elisabeth is on seen on a video call with Jim talking about Maddy's date, and what Elisabeth's working on. Jim mentions that Zoe is sick, and she realizes Jim also has a cold. After she logs off, she asks herself who Zoe is.

The end of the date is being shown between Maddy and Reynolds. Jim tells Maddy that he completely ruined his first date with Elisabeth, but still asked her out again, because he knew that "No matter how much of a fool I made out of myself, in the end, I knew it'd be worth it."

Jim goes into the command base to talk to Washington, to see what's going on with the team in Outpost 3. The place is under quarantine and she doesn't know what is going on at the outpost. Washington informs Jim to stay, but he leaves anyway. He asks Malcolm for his rover. Malcolm decides that they are going together. Malcolm gives Jim an awful tasting root to stop him from feeling sick for 12 hours.

Josh is sitting on a hammock when Skye comes out to see him. He asks her if they should tell someone about the writing on the rocks they saw by the waterfall. He "loses" himself in her eyes and they share a kiss. Josh pulls away, and says he really likes Skye but he still thinks about Kara a lot. She says it's fine and doesn't hate him, as he thinks. She tells him she could help him get Kara to Terra Nova.

Malcolm and Jim arrive at Outpost 3, where they find that Ovosaurs have been chewing the wires again. They go inside. Washington is seen on a monitor, trying to reach the post. He answers her, making her annoyed that they are at the outpost when they were told to stay at the main colony. He ends the communication, and when he turns around he sees Elisabeth, who shoots him with a Sonic Rifle. When Jim takes off his helmet to show who he is, she forces him down. When Malcolm takes off his helmet, she starts crying, out of happiness. She hugs him, leaving Jim bewildered. Jim is annoyed when Elisabeth doesn't recognize him. Malcolm sees that she's lost 20 years of her memory, and thinks shes in medical school again. He tells Jim that she'll start losing more of her memory and might eventually die. Jim looks heartbroken when Malcolm reintroduces him to Elisabeth.

At home again, Skye brings Josh to Tom Boylan, a bartender. We see he can get things to Terra Nova, because he's done it in the past. He says people are difficult and expensive but Josh is still willing to try. The man realizes Josh is the cop's son, and needs his trust. Josh ensures that all secrets are safe with him.

Malcolm is having trouble getting Elisabeth up to date on time, and why she is here. Jim finds a video of her talking about what's going on to her, being in Outpost 3. She finds out she's been there for over a day, and wants to make sure the men are okay. The lights go out due to the Ovosaurs and Jim leave to shoo them away. When he gets outside he doesn't see them, but a dark figure runs behind him. He goes back inside. As he's walking along inside he sees Brady, a member of Taylor's team. He hears a noise and looks up to see Taylor. The commander shoots the glass between them, and threatens to shoot Jim. He pins Jim against a wall with a knife to his throat. He looks at Jim's ID Card, and can't remember what Terra Nova is. Jim tries to convince Taylor that Terra Nova is a place not a code name. Taylor tells Jim that he's in the war in Somalia. He also says that he'll find out who took "her", Ayani, his wife. Jim is confused, while Taylor is angry. He threatens to slit every throat in sight if he can't find his family.

Elisabeth and Malcolm are seen talking about the blood samples and how they are progressing on trying to cure the memory loss. Malcolm is about to kiss Elisabeth, but Jim comes in and shoves Malcolm onto the table. Elisabeth sees that Jim is hurt and asks why. He talks about how he saw Taylor and how confused he is. He also tells them Taylor's going back to the colony because he think he's in a war from his past.

Mark Reynolds goes to Maddy's house to see if she's okay, because her parents are both gone. Because Maddy is so scared, Mark decides to tell her what's going on. Taylor arrives back outside the Terra Nova colony. Malcolm and Jim are carrying an unconscious Brady to the truck when Malcolm goes through another amnesia phase where he doesn't remember anything. An Ovosaur appears after Malcolm's yelling, and tries to attack Malcolm. Jim pulls Malcolm into another room and closes the door. Jim sees some cables like the ones the Ovosaurs had been chewing outside. He cuts through some cable in hopes to lure in the Ovosaur, since that's what they're attracted to. He opens the door to the room he and Malcolm are in, and lets the Ovosaur run past them to chew on the cut cables. Malcolm and Jim get out, but Malcolm goes crazy again. He doesn't at all what is happening. Jim gets annoyed by it, and punches Malcolm, knocking him out. Jim decides to help Elisabeth with the research because she doesn't think she can do it alone. She senses something more between the two of them, announcing they must be friends. Jim tells her about Maddy, his daughter, being careful not to share that he and Elisabeth are married. She accepts this and moves on.

Taylor arrives at the Terra Nova gates. He punches a man down as soon as he walks outside the gate.

Elisabeth sees papers with the names Josh, Maddy, Zoe, and Jim. This is when she realizes that she and Jim are married. He then shows her the wedding ring to reinforce this. She doesn't remember and is very upset. He tells her that what he feels for her is more than a memory, which calms her. He also says he's fine and not experiencing any memory loss, which confuses her, but then he sneezes. He pulls out the root he chewed on to make the cold symptoms disappear, which makes her think it's what blocks the virus.

Maddy marches into the base to speak to Washington. She tells Reynolds not to let Maddy in, but Reynolds refuses to bring her away. Taylor comes out from the dark, and grabs Mark, putting a knife to his throat, scaring Maddy. Washington tells Taylor he's sick and there is no war anymore. She tells him she and Reynolds are on Taylor's side as soldiers. She convinces him she would never lie and that Terra Nova is home. He asks where Ayani is, and she tells him that she is dead. He doesn't remember and calmly she tells him she's going to help him remember. He replies with, "Ayani's dead. Why would I wanna remember that?" He then puts the knife to his neck and is about to slit his own throat, when Washington shoots him with a sonic gun, stopping him.

Elisabeth and Jim examine the root Malcolm gave to Jim, and can't find anything that would make him immune to the disease. He sneezes again. Elisabeth then realizes that its the cold that is stopping the virus, not the root. She goes into a scientific talk about how to distribute the cold. Instead he kisses her.

Commander Taylor wakes up on a bed, from the shot of the sonic gun Washington gave him. Elisabeth asks him if he knows where he is. He looks around and decides he's in Terra Nova. She tells him he will feel confused for a bit. He is proud of the Washington for shooting him.

Tom, the bartender, goes to see Mira. He gives her a power cell and some medical supplies. She accepts this, after he says he can't steal weapons for them without bringing too much attention. He tells her he needs to send a message to 2149. She asks about what, and he tells her a boy wants to buy his girlfriend through the portal. He reveals to her that it is the cop's son that wants this, and she is pleased. This reveals that Tom Boylan is the Sixers' spy.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 5-The Runaway

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:54 pm

Corporal Reilly and two other security personnel are watching the perimeter when one of them sees someone moving through the jungle. They notify Lieutenant Alicia Washington, who leads a team outside the walls to discover the identity of the interloper. They find a little girl. At the Clinic, the girl identifies herself and says that she was trying to find the portal because she wants to return to a relative in 2149. Jim Shannon tells her that the portal only works one way. The girl tells the others that she lost her bag in the jungle. Nathaniel Taylor later says that he sent Washington to look for the bag. The Shannon family takes Leah in to live in their house.

While Washington is out looking for the little girl, Leah's, pack, she and her team are attacked by Sixers. They are then taken captive after a small fight. Maddy goes to work with her mom, but their first patient, Rajiv Swarup, has an extremely damaged arm, which causes Maddy to turn squeamish and back away.

Mira brings Washington and her team to the Terra Nova colony and meets with Taylor. Mira says she will let Washington go if Taylor agrees to let Leah return to the Sixers. Taylor suggests that they let Leah decide where she wants to stay instead, and Mira agrees. When Leah decides to stay at the colony, Mira frees Washington and her team.

The Shannon's do their best to welcome Leah. Taylor tells Jim he wants to find out who the spy is inside the colony. One person, Robert Stanley, sticks out in Taylor's mind as a possible spy, since he also came in on the Sixth Pilgrimage, but stayed in the colony instead of leaving with the Sixers. They find Robert performing a field study of Wax Moss. They begin questioning Robert, who defends himself, until Malcolm arrives on the scene. Malcolm says that there is no way that his friend, Robert, is a spy for the Sixers. Taylor and Jim leave Robert and Malcolm, no closer to determining who the spy is. Karem and Selena McMillen report that someone has broken in to their house and has exposed a now empty hidden compartment beneath the floor. When it is revealed that the house used to be Mira's, the Security Team immediately hunts down and finds Leah just before she can reach the colony wall, after assuming she has recovered something for Mira. They are correct, and find that Leah is carrying a strange box, which they take into custody. Leah reveals that she was following Mira's orders to obtain the container because Mira has Leah's brother, Sam. Leah says she does not know what is inside the box, and they can't seem to open it.

Jim decides to go out to try to find the Sixers camp and rescue Sam, but instead steps into a Sixer rope booby-trap. As a Nykoraptor finds Jim dangling upside-down from the rope and tries to jump and reach him, Sixers arrive on the scene and scare it off. They then put a sack over Jim's head and take him to their camp. There he talks to Mira, who tells Jim that Sam was never in any danger, and that she had to make Leah think he was so that Leah would do whatever Mira asked of her. Mira also reveals that her actions are being controlled indirectly by someone in 2149 who has her daughter, Sienna, and also wants Taylor eliminated. She tells Jim that he should join the Sixers, because he is on the wrong side. Mira decides to let Jim go, along with Sam.

Jim and Sam arrive back at the colony, and Leah is overjoyed to see that Sam is all right. Malcolm tries to open Mira's box but can not, so he stores it in a safe place. Jim does not reveal his conversation with Mira regarding her contact in 2149

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 6-Bylaw

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:56 pm

*This is one of my favorite episodes, this one, What Remains, and of course, the Season finale and Nightfall. I got a lot of inspiration for an awesome season 2 from these four episodes. All the episodes are great, but these four are astounding.*

The episode begins with a member of the Terra Nova Security Team, Foster, approaching Communications Relay Station 19-A. Upon opening the door to the station, a Nykoraptor just inside the station attacks Foster, killing him.
Jim and other members of the security team go to the scene to investigate. Others assume that the Nykoraptor was in the area because of the nearby Ankylosaurus nests, the eggs of which the Nykoraptors were known to eat, but Jim finds evidence that may show that the Nykoraptor was in the area for other reasons. He finds extensive scratches and claw marks on the inside of the station's door, indicating that the Nykoraptor had been trapped inside.

Jim asks Elisabeth to examine Foster's body, and oddly, she finds the blood of a Gallusaur, a Nykoraptor's favorite prey, on him. Jim deducts that someone used a gallusaur as bait to lure the Nykoraptor into the station, so it would be there to kill Foster when he arrived.

Meanwhile, Malcolm discovers an Ankylosaurus egg near the communications station that had not been destroyed by the Nykoraptors in the area. Zoe pleads with her mom to make the egg hatch. Malcolm and Elisabeth are both surprised to find that the embryo inside is still alive. Unfortunately, however, Malcolm discovers that the egg has not hatched already because of a defect to the dinosaur baby, which has caused its leg to be fused to the back of its neck. They also can not hatch the egg themselves, because the baby would die due to the condition it is in. Using the advanced medical equipment, Elisabeth performs surgery through the shell of the egg to fix the baby's leg, which should allow the egg to hatch normally.

Jim and Alicia Washington begin the search for Foster's murderer. At Boylan's Bar, Mark Reynolds informs them that Foster had been in a relationship, but Mark did not know who the woman was. He says that Foster kept pictures of the woman on his tag. Jim and Washington find that Foster's tag is missing, but when they attempt to track the tag to find its location, they discover that the tag is on the move: the tag must be inside the Nykoraptor that devoured Foster. A team tracks down the Nykoraptor and subdues it, then removes the tag from its stomach. After viewing the pictures contained on the tag, it is determined that the woman is Rebecca Milner, a married woman. They question Rebecca at her house, but she denies having an affair with Foster. However, her husband, Howard, walks in at that moment, and tells Jim and Washington that Rebecca did indeed have an affair with Foster, and that he had killed Foster himself.

Taylor now faces the decision of imprisoning Howard, or banishing to the jungle outside the gates of the colony. With most or all of the colonists in attendance, Taylor announces that he has decided to banish Howard. Howard is sent out of the settlement with his belongings and a gun. But Jim then has suspicions over whether Howard was telling the truth over killing Foster himself, or if Rebecca possibly killed Foster and Howard was covering for her. Jim tracks down Howard in the jungle and tells him he does not believe that he killed Foster after all. Jim smuggles Howard back into the colony so they can have a talk with Rebecca. To Howard's surprise, Rebecca states that she did not kill Foster either, and they had broken up a few weeks prior because Foster liked to gamble excessively at Boylan's Bar. While researching Foster's financial records, Jim and Washington find that someone had owed Foster a lot of cash.

Boylan is then arrested for hosting illegal gambling and skimming off some of the winnings for profit. But when asked if he killed Foster, he denies doing so. Jim is angry to see that Josh is working at Boylan's bar. He makes Josh quit since he had kept it a secret. The security team conducts a search at the bar for the financial records of the card games, but the search turns up nothing.

After Taylor questions Boylan, it is reported that Boylan has escaped into the jungle. Members of the security team head out into the jungle to hunt for Boylan, with Jim, Taylor and another security team member, Curran hunting together. Taylor then surprisingly begins questioning Curran on the killing of Foster, and then reveals that Boylan had not really escaped. Boylan had provided them with information that Curran had owed Foster a large sum of money. Curran defends himself, saying he didn't kill Foster, but Taylor continues to hound him. Curran finally has enough and pulls his Sonic Rifle on Jim and Taylor, but it fails to fire, as Taylor had it disabled prior to leaving the colony. Taylor wrestles Curran to the ground and opens Curran's jacket, finding the financial records from the bar. Taylor banishes Curran on the spot, and Curran heads off into the jungle, without even a gun.

Jim lets Josh return to work, but reminds him that their family does not keep secrets. Josh and Skye then follow Boylan's directions to meet with Mira. Mira tells Josh that she can help get his girlfriend from 2149, Kara, to Terra Nova under one condition: he must agree to perform an undefined task for her sometime in the future, without question when the time comes. Josh agrees, and Mira sends them back on their way to the colony.

Back at the settlement, the Ankylosaurus egg finally hatches. Zoe pleads with her parents to keep the hatchling, and they agree to keep it for the time being.

*Take note of the last episode, that's going to be a huge storyline in one of our episodes. No spoilers Smile*

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 7- NIGHTFALL

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:58 pm

((Probably the best episode besides the season finale))

A meteor falling through the atmosphere passing over Terra Nova explodes, causing an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) burst, which causes the colony's electronics to short and fail. A large fragment of the meteor impacts nearby, causing a shockwave which does some minor damage to the colony.

When the meteor explodes, causing the EMP, Jim and Zoe are inside the room containing "The Eye", a holographic simulator containing much of Earth's history (relating to the 2149 timeline). After Zoe sees the house in which she was born, and after she and Jim "ride" in a roller coaster, the EMP knocks out the power to the room, which has electronic door locks. Jim and Zoe are then stuck in the room. Jim finds a small escape route under the viewing chair, through which Zoe can fit. Zoe makes her way through the tunnel under the floor and arrives outside the door to the room for The Eye, and manually unlocks the door.

Maddy Shannon pretends that she intends to spend her Saturday doing homework. After all the members of her family leave, she meets with Mark Reynolds and they go outside the gate to spend the day together. The are picnicking when the meteor impacts. Mark finds that neither his rover nor his radio will work. He initially assures Maddy that they will be able to reach the settlement before nightfall, but later revises his estimate and tells her they will have to spend the night in the jungle. They cover each other with pungent slime to hide their scents and spend the night together in a tree to avoid creatures. In the morning, their share their first kiss and return to the settlement. Maddy tells her parents that she accomplished a lot during her supposed studies, and blames trash for the lingering scent.

One Sixer tells Mira about the energy failure of Terra Nova, so she decides to attack it. Mira knows that they're still outnumbered, so she brings an Empirosaur to Terra Nova's fence hoping it can serve them as help. Taylor and Jim make the Empirosaur go away by making a firewall in front of the gate. Taylor notices the dinosaur has something in his back, so he knows it's a distraction to get the box. Both of them went to the Lab to see the box, and are ambushed by two Sixers who were taking the box with them. One of them goes away with the box and finally gets it to Mira.

Mira and Carter meet a man named Lucas in the jungle. After Lucas reminds Mira that her purpose in coming though the time portal was to bring something to him, she gives him the box recently recovered from the settlement. Lucas opens the box and it displays some graphics that resemble those near the Waterfall. Lucas comments that "Dad" will have to make a choice. Revealing that Lucas is Commander Taylor's son and he'll have to choose between his son or his "precious Terra Nova."

Oh and here's some more of Nightfall that I left out.

A meteor explosion generates an electromagnetic pulse that disables the colony's technology. Maddy and Reynolds, on their first date, find themselves trapped in the jungle and attempt to get back to Terra Nova on foot before nightfall. Elisabeth and Skye work together to save Hunter, who is infected with a deadly parasite. Jim and Zoe, trapped inside "The Eye", a holographic encyclopedia chamber, search for a way out, as no one knows where they are. Meanwhile, Commander Taylor works to protect a vulnerable Terra Nova from a possible Sixer invasion. Determined to retrieve the mysterious box, Mira herds a large dinosaur toward the colony as a diversion tactic. Several Sixers break into the locked cabinet where the box is kept, but Jim and Taylor confront them. After getting the box, Mira later hands it over to Lucas Taylor, the only person able to open it.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 8-Proof

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:00 pm

Jim and Nathaniel Taylor begin fishing off the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea. Bones of dead fish can be seen all around the area, the remains of the meals of pterosaurs. A large swordfish is hooked by Jim, and it nearly pulls him over the edge of the cliff. Taylor manages to hold onto him to keep him from going over.
At the Terra Nova colony, Elisabeth tells Maddy that one of Maddy's favorite scientists, Dr. Ken Horton, will be returning to the colony later that, after spending months in the jungle doing research and gathering specimens. Maddy wants to get his autograph on one of the books he has written. When the doctor arrives, he annoys Malcolm Wallace when he doesn't remember his name. He then goes off with Elisabeth and Maddy to get himself checked out medically.

At Boylan's Bar, Tom Boylan informs Josh that Mira has called in the task she previously demanded of him, in order for Mira to arrange for Kara to be brought to Terra Nova. Josh is ordered to steal a rare medication out of his mother's lab in order to help cure a sickness that is occurring at the Sixers' camp. Skye becomes angry with Josh for the dangerous actions he has been performing to bring Kara there.

Dr. Horton passes his medical testing, but refuses to have a brain scan, as he wants to get back to his work. He gives Maddy a tour of his lab and newly acquired specimens, and takes on Maddy as an assistant. He signs her copy of his book, but does not recall the joke she repeats from it. Back at home, Maddy notices that Horton's signature on her book does not match his signature on a letter he wrote to Maddy years ago. When Maddy tells her mother about this and Horton's bad memory, she reminds Maddy that Horton's stroke years ago could have done this. Maddy asks some questions to Horton, relating to the letter, but he doesn't recall the letter. He asks to see the letter, which he then holds on to.

Josh goes back to Boylan and demands proof that Mira can bring his girlfriend to Terra Nova. Boylan takes a hooded Josh out in the jungle to the Sixers' camp, where Mira is initially unwilling to accommodate Josh's request for proof, but finally gives in and provides holographic communication with who appears to be Kara. Josh is satisfied, and agrees to obtain the medicine for Mira and the Sixers.

Back by the sea, Jim and Taylor stumble across a recently extinguished campfire, which Taylor knows to be from Tim Curran, the soldier they recently exiled, for murdering Ken Foster. Taylor tells Jim to head back to the colony, while Taylor says he's going to hunt down Curran.

At the colony, Horton shows Maddy how he plans to save the diseased apple crop using some green beetles. Horton continues to have difficulty recalling his past during their conversation. Maddy releases the beetles from a container, and they immediately fly to the apple trees and begin their work of helping the trees.

Josh steals his mother's key-card so Boylan can replicate it and Josh can it to get into the lab to steal the medicine. After Boylan thinks he has successfully replicated the key-card, he tells Josh that no one will be able to trace the opening of the cabinet with the medicine back to his mother's key-card. Josh later breaks into the lab and attempts to use the key-card to gain access to the medicine, but the key-card fails. He pulls out the Sonic Pistol given to him by Boylan, points it at the cabinet, and fires. Josh is repelled backward and slams into the wall behind him, injuring himself, but successfully opening the cabinet in the process. He takes all of the indicated medicine from the cabinet.

Taylor finds a trail of blood in the jungle, which he then uses to track down Curran. Taylor finds Curran with a badly injured leg, which Taylor says is the result of an encounter with an Ancestral Komodo Dragon, which is stalking him through the jungle, waiting until Curran can not fight the reptile off, due to his injuries. Taylor mixes up something for Curran's infected leg, but doesn't tell Curran why he is helping him. Jim arrives back at the compound and tells Washington that Taylor is going after Curran. Washington informs Jim of the break-in at the lab.

Maddy enters Horton's lab while he is away, only to find her letter burned and in the trash. Horton returns to the lab and stops using his cane while walking around the lab, with no limp present. He scoops up the bag of trash containing the pieces of letter, but Maddy still has a piece of it. Horton leaves the lab again, regaining his cane, and his limp, before exiting the building.

While working in the family garden, Elisabeth and Jim are talking about the break-in at the lab, and Elisabeth mentions that someone in particular may die without the medicine. Josh asks if more can be made, and she says no, that they'd need to wait for the next Pilgrimage to obtain more. Josh becomes angry and storms off, insisting they need a better way to communicate with 2149.

Maddy theorizes that someone is impersonating Horton, and that they had a "facer" surgically alter their face before coming to Terra Nova. She realizes she should be able to get the "real" Horton's DNA from the saliva residue on the envelope her letter had come in years ago that she still had, and compare it to the "fake" Horton's DNA. After talking with Horton briefly, she grabs his drinking cup and sneaks off to compare the DNA using the equipment at the lab. Malcolm catches Maddy using the equipment when she doesn't have authorization to do so, but when she tells him what she is doing, he enthusiastically tries to help her along with her testing, hoping to show that Horton is a fraud. But the DNA checks out OK in the system. However, Horton is seen secretly listening in on the conversation between Malcolm and Maddy.

Josh goes to Boylan's Bar and steals back a single vial of the medicine, to help the person that his mother had said needed it so badly. Josh tells Boylan that his father had been asking a lot of questions about the break-in at the lab, so Boylan decides he should do something to keep the investigation from leading back to Josh and himself. He decides to frame one of his less desirable customers. The man is brought in and is high on the particular drug in question, but Jim senses something isn't right.

Back in the jungle, Taylor comes face to face with the Ancestral Komodo Dragon as it comes to finish off Curran, but Taylor says the Komodos are cowards when confronted. He is correct, as the Komodo decides to leave after Taylor threatens the beast with a large knife and a fiery torch. After the Komodo is gone, Taylor tells Curran in order to redeem himself, he must find the Sixers and pretend to join them, so he can determine who the spy is at Terra Nova that is giving the Sixers information and supplies.

Maddy continues her investigation of Horton by visiting The Eye. Using the information there, she deduces that the real doctor must have been killed by his former assistant at some point, who then altered his appearance to look like Horton. Horton then enters the chamber, sees what Maddy has been researching, and confronts her ominously. Before the Horton-imposter can do anything to Maddy, another person enters the room, and Maddy is able to make an escape. Maddy decides to go pick up her sister, Zoe, from school, only to find out that "Horton" has already picked her sister up.

Maddy finds Zoe and the fake Horton in the apple orchard, and tells Zoe to go home and tell her father that she'll be late in cooking the "asparagus". Horton informs Maddy that her deductions were indeed correct, and that he was Horton's assistant, Andrew Fickett. He ties her to a tree and reveals a canister containing a spider inside. He says that it will look like she just fell asleep, but won't wake up. While inserting her arm into the canister, he explains that the real Horton lied about his research and didn't deserve a spot at Terra Nova. But before the spider can get to Maddy's arm and bite, Jim arrives and knocks Fickett down and the spider along with him. Jim had been alerted when Zoe informed him of what Maddy had said, "asparagus."

While the rest of the family is in their house talking about Maddy's good intuition, Josh walks in and places the vial of medicine on the table, in front of everyone. He tells them the whole story of his involvement with Boylan and the Sixers, and his attempt to get Kara to Terra Nova. Jim immediately confronts Boylan, who tells that Mira does indeed have a method to communicate with 2149 without the Time Portal being open. Jim brings this news to Taylor, who tells Jim that the only one who could be responsible for creating this technology would be his son, Lucas, who has been missing from the colony for a long time. Jim suggests that they can go "rescue" Lucas from the Sixers, but Taylor dismisses this, as he believes that is not the situation between the Lucas and the Sixers.

Later, as Maddy is walking through the apple orchard, she picks one of the now-healthy apples, and smiles.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 9-Vs.

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:02 pm

A dragonfly flies through the Terra Nova colony, out over some soldiers on patrol, out into the jungle, and eventually making its way to the Sixers' camp. It lands on the hand of Mira, who says, ""what have you got for me today?"

After his arrest in "Proof", Tom Boylan sits in the brig. Commander Nathaniel Taylor interrogates Tom, demanding to know what else he knows or has told the Sixers. Boylan insists that he knows nothing. Taylor, disbelieving of Boylan, leaves him to rest to the piercing sound of a loud alarm siren.
While the Shannons are preparing for the "Harvest Festival", Josh pulls his father, Jim, aside and asks of Boylan's whereabouts. Jim tells him that Taylor still has him detained. Josh asks Jim to check on the justification of keeping Boylan detained. Jim confronts Taylor, who takes Jim to the brig to see Boylan. Taylor says that even spiking Boylan's food hasn't brought forth any more information from Tom. Washington enters the brig and tells Taylor she needs his help with some problems with electrical power in a section of the colony. After Taylor and Washington leave, a delirious Boylan tells Jim, who he thinks is Taylor, that he'll expose Taylor by revealing what he has buried under the "Pilgrim's Tree".

Jim goes to the lab to try to find the Pilgrim's Tree on a map, when Malcolm Wallace shows up. Jim asks him if he knows about the tree. The tree apparently is where Taylor had stayed during his first days after arriving at Terra Nova. Malcolm shows Jim where on the map the tree is located, and Jim heads out to take a look. After arriving at the tree, Jim begins digging, and unearths the skeletal remains of a human. Jim brings the remains to Elisabeth, who notes that the body is missing its right arm, and that a rib fracture may indicate that the person was shot. She says she'll run some tests to try to determine who the person was. Jim decides to not bring his findings to the attention of Taylor just yet, as Jim is now getting suspicious of Taylor.
Out in the jungle, Mark Reynolds and a security team are taking supplies to Outpost 9. Before making it to the outpost, the convoy is ambushed by the Sixers. The Sixers confiscate all the supplies and send the security team back to the colony.
Maddy is directing the practice for a play in which her sister, Zoe, is portraying Nathaniel Taylor in a story about the history of Terra Nova. Leah and Sam Marcos are also on stage. While practicing, the earlier seen dragonfly flies near the stage, and a nearby solider swats it out of the air, knocking it upon the stage in front of Maddy. Maddy looks at the dragonfly in surprise, as she sees a microchip attached to it.

Upon further investigation, Malcolm deduces that the dragonfly was being used like a carrier pigeon in order to send messages back and forth between the Sixers and someone in the colony. Unfortunately, the dragonfly's wings were damaged and it can't be used to be tracked back to the spy.

Mark and his team arrive back the colony and says that they were attacked by Mira and the Sixers. Washington tells Taylor that she didn't organize that supply mission until after Boylan was in the brig, therefore Boylan couldn't be the spy who would have tipped Mira off regarding the time and location of the mission. Taylor agrees and has Boylan released from the brig.

Elisabeth discovers that the person whose body was found did not come through any known Pilgrimage, and that in fact, they came through some time between the second and third Pilgrimages. Jim questions Boylan at his bar regarding the body, telling Boylan that he told Jim the information about the location of the body while he was in the brig. Boylan says he knows nothing of the incident regarding the killing of the person, other than that Taylor had asked him to help bury the body. Boylan says that was the last night that Taylor's son, Lucas, was seen.

Malcolm discovers Elisabeth working on the body, and asks why he doesn't know about it. She says that it is not his work, and that he has a habit of sticking his nose into other peoples' work. He says that he's in charge of the science team, and that all work is his work, and must be reported to him. He then goes off to retrieve Taylor. Jim tells Taylor that he found the body after receiving an anonymous tip. Taylor dismisses the failure of Elisabeth to report the body to Malcolm as a result of being new to the colony. Taylor also brushes off the finding of the body, saying it is most likely the body of a Sixer, making the Shannons even more suspicious, since they now know that the body was from well before the time of the Sixers.

Malcolm tells Taylor that he has discovered how the Sixers and spy got the dragonfly to go where they wanted. He explains that the dragonfly was following a sound that humans could not hear, and that he has determined the exact frequency that the dragonfly was attracted to. Taylor reminds Malcolm that the dragonfly's wings were damaged and it can no longer fly, so this information is now useless, but then Malcolm reveals that he has surgically repaired the dragonfly's wings and that it can fly once again. Pleased with this development, Taylor decides to release the dragonfly to return to the source of the sound during the Harvest Festival, when no one is in their homes. Malcolm releases the dragonfly from its cage, and he, Taylor and Washington follow it around the colony, finally tracking it to where it enters someone's house, Jim Shannon's.
While watching Zoe's play, Jim and Elisabeth notice that one of the characters in the play, General Richard Philbrick, Taylor's commanding officer, only has one arm. Before Jim and Elisabeth can check on this newly found information, Taylor arrives and has Jim arrested for being the Sixers' spy.

Now with Jim in the brig, Taylor comes and hints that he'll let Jim go if he stops his investigation of the body found under the Pilgrim's Tree. Jim refuses, telling Taylor he might as well throw away the key to the brig and leave Jim in there. As Taylor begins to leave the brig, Jim asks Taylor if he killed General Philbrick. Taylor stops and says that yes, he killed the general. Taylor says that Philbrick would have killed him, so he had to do it. Taylor then explains the events leading up this. Apparently those employing Philbrick and Lucas, and later the Sixers, were trying to get a time portal created that could work in both directions, so that natural resources from Terra Nova could be sent back through to their home time-stream. The commander discovered his son's work and destroyed it. Lucas went OTG and Taylor tracked him. He found Lucas opening a time portal, and General Philbrick emerged. Taylor confronted Lucas and Philbrick, and the general said he was there to relieve Taylor of command. Taylor refused to submit, and the general pulled a pistol. Taylor pulled his pistol out as well, beating Philbrick to the shot. Taylor's shot hit Philbrick in the chest, killing him. Lucas pulls a gun on Taylor as well, which Taylor quickly knocks away. Taylor can't bring himself to kill his own son. Instead he allows Lucas to flee into the jungle, with Lucas vowing to return. After Taylor finished his story, Taylor and Jim agree to not let the other inhabitants of Terra Nova know that the colony wasn't partially built upon a lie. Taylor releases Jim from the brig, knowing he's not the Sixers' spy.

At the Terra Nova Harvest Festival, Taylor goes on stage and gives an emotional speech to the crowd in which he says, "This is what Terra Nova's all about". The speech is followed by fireworks, which Lucas observes from somewhere in the jungle.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 10-Now You See Me

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:04 pm

Commander Taylor prepares to leave the colony on his own for a 24-hour quest. He tells Skye that when he returns they'll have to go visit Memorial Field together, the gravesite of Skye's parents. He tells her that her parents would be proud of the young woman she has become since their death. As Taylor prepares his motorbike, a young, eager soldier appears and reminds him that the current security procedures for the colony, which have been heightened due to the presence of the unknown Sixers' spy, ban unnecessary travel outside the gates of the compound. Jim echoes the soldier's thoughts, but Taylor insists that he still must leave. Because Washington is away on another mission, Taylor leaves Jim in charge of the colony, as temporary commander, as he says Jim is the only one there he can trust fully right now.
As Taylor explores the area around the waterfall, he finds more of Lucas' equations engraved into the nearby rocks. As he inspects the remains of a campfire, evidence that Lucas was there, Mira suddenly appears behind him, pointing a sonic rifle at him. She tells him that Lucas is getting closer every day to creating a two-way time portal between 2149 and Terra Nova. She then ties up Taylor's hands behind his back.
Back at the colony, Zoe is caring for her pet baby ankylosaur in her mother's lab and still trying to decide what to name the dinosaur. For the time being, she decides to call it "Boxer", even though she is reminded she has named it many things over the time they've had it.

Jim and Mark Reynolds are called to a watch tower to observe a flashing light that another soldier has noticed, coming from the jungle. Jim deduces that this light must be the method the Sixers are using to communicate with the spy inside the colony, so Jim tells Mark and the other soldier to immediately begin scanning with their binoculars for any signs of a signaling light coming from within the colony's walls. Mark finds a flashing light coming from somewhere in an unfinished housing development. Jim orders Mark to come along with him to the development, and they begin searching for the source of the flashing light signals. They don't find anyone at the scene, but Skye is seen hiding from the men, her hand holding a piece of glass, bleeding. Jim notices a small drop of what appears to be blood floating on the surface of some paint sealant in a can.

In the jungle, Mira begins to lead Taylor back to the Sixers, but finds that their communication is down. As they continue on through the jungle, Mira tells Taylor the people who hired her want to take Terra Nova's resources back through a two-way time portal. They want her to take care of Taylor so they can get what they want, and in return she would be rewarded. Taylor makes an attempt at an escape, and fails, but in his effort he finds and picks up a sharp thorn or dinosaur claw that he can use to slowly cut the ropes around his wrists.

Meanwhile, Jim makes an attempt to collect the drop of blood floating on the paint sealant, but when he touches it, the blood immediately disperses into the liquid, diluting it. Skye is stopped by Josh, who apologizes with the way he had been acting in his effort to get Kara to Terra Nova by working with the Sixers. She tells him that she is very late and hurries off, still bleeding from her hand. In the lab, Malcolm warns Elisabeth that Zoe's pet must be released back into the wild very soon, or else it will not be able to survive. Skye comes in and retrieves a can of medical spray, secretly using it behind a cabinet to heal her wounded hand. Jim then walks in to the lab with the can of paint sealant and diluted blood, hoping that Elisabeth can do something with it in order to get DNA from it to reveal the identity of the spy. She reminders Jim that she is a doctor, not a chemist, but that Malcolm may have better luck with it.

Some Sixers are seen waiting in a transport, wondering where Skye is. She is apparently late for their meeting.

Mira continues leading Taylor towards her camp, telling him that she was an ex-con, homeless and on the streets, trying to find a way to have a better life for her daughter, Sienna. A pterosaur flies from the trees above them, providing Taylor, who has managed to cut off his ropes, with the chance to overtake Mira and gain the upper hand. With a small struggle, he does so, and manages to gain control of her weapons. As Taylor now begins leading Mira away, a slasher is seen, silently watching them from the cover of a bush.

Skye sees Josh preparing to go outside the gates for work detail to do some digging, and she asks if she can come and help. He tells her to go get ready and come along.

Taylor questions Mira on what she knows about his son, Lucas. She tells him that she knows Lucas has a hatred for him that goes back to some event that happened in Somalia years ago. She asks Taylor what happened in Somalia, and he becomes angry and slams her against a tree. She tells him that she is following Lucas' orders and not the other way around. They both then realize that they are being stalked by something.

Malcolm very reluctantly agrees with Jim to see what he can do about trying to salvage a blood sample from the can of paint sealant. Jim and Elisabeth then stop Zoe from trying to sneak the baby ankylosaur out of the lab.

After Sky and Josh arrive at the work detail, Skye mentions that she is going to go check in with the foreman since she had tagged along, but instead she sneaks off and meets up the Sixers at their transport. Arriving at the Sixers' camp, Skye is taken to a hut where a woman is seen lying on a bed. It is revealed that the woman is Skye's mother, who is still suffering from Sincyllic Fever, the same illness which she supposedly had already died from. Skye says she doesn't look good this visit, and a Sixer tells her it's because they didn't give her the medicine at the normal time, since Skye didn't bring intel to them on time. Skye hands over the data and has a quick visit with her ailing mother.

Jim brings Elisabeth a workable sample of blood, that Malcolm was able to remove from the paint sealer can. Elisabeth tells him that getting DNA results from the sample will take overnight to complete, as she puts the sample in a small dish on a machine. Skye returns for her shift at the infirmary and sees that Elisabeth is working on the sample of blood. Later that night, Skye returns and destroys the blood sample.
Back in the jungle, not just one, but two, slashers attack Taylor and Mira, who flee after Taylor fires a few rounds at one of the dinosaurs from the sonic rifle. Taylor and Mira are forced to jump off a nearby waterfall. When he hits the water, Taylor loses the rifle, and it falls to the bottom of the murky water. Taylor comments that the pair of slashers are young, as can be told from the male's markings, and that they are searching for territory to call their own, which makes them extremely dangerous and not likely to give up. He says that they are probably making their way down around to the bottom of the falls as they speak. Taylor gives Mira her knife back saying, "We can fight each other, or we can fight them." They agree to stay there and fight the slashers together.
Jim learns from Elisabeth that the blood sample was destroyed, but Elisabeth notes that this fact narrows the field of spy-possibles down to only the people that have access to the lab.

Taylor and Mira work on some bows, arrows and spears, and some flammable concoction they plan on using to defend themselves against the slashers. Taylor learns that Mira spend time in prison for taking part in a secessionist movement before coming to Terra Nova. Their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of the two slashers. Mira shoots a coated arrow at one of the slashers, piercing its side. Taylor then throws a flaming spear into the same area of the dinosaur, causing that area of it to catch fire. Writhing in pain, the slasher retreats and the other backs down and follows the first. Later, Mira offers some grubs to Taylor, while he mentions that they would have made a really good team together. They eventually go their separate ways.
Elisabeth tells Jim that the analysis of the blood sample wasn't completely in vain, as the machine was able to determine that the blood's owner was female. This narrows the list of people as possible spies from 84 total people with access to the lab, to just 47 females with access to the lab.

Zoe and her parents release the baby ankylosaur back into the wild, where an adult quickly finds it and takes it in.

Taylor returns to camp, asking Jim how he liked being commander, with Jim answering that he wouldn't want to do it every day. As Jim leaves, Skye walks in to see Taylor. Taylor asks if she wants to still go out to Memorial Field, and she says yes. He also says that he really meant what he said the day before, about Skye's parents being proud of her if they were alive. Taylor sees an odd look on Skye's face, but when asked if she has something on her mind, she says no.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty SEASON 1 Episode 11-Within

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:06 pm

((The last episode before the season finale!!!))

Taylor and Jim approach the Terminus, which is where people arrive on Terra Nova from 2149. Taylor wants Jim to capture the Sixers' spy before the 11th Pilgrimage arrives. He puts the Terminus on a 24-hour watch.
Jim questions Skye's whereabouts when the Sixers made contact. She claims that she was playing chess with Josh at her house. Meanwhile, Maddy's plex crashes. Josh says that the core is broken and Durwin might have one for trade.
Skye asks Josh to confirm the lies she told Jim. Josh, who doesn't believe that Skye is a spy, agrees to do so.

Skye steals a tape from a relay station and takes it to the Sixers camp, where she's surprised to find Taylor's son, Lucas, who gave her mother a blanket. Lucas has solved the problem of how to transport people from Terra Nova back to 2149. But the final calculations will take weeks. He wants Skye to use the computing power inside the Eye to do this quickly - or he'll kill her mother.

Jim orders that a security camera be trained on a drainage ditch that could be a way in and out of the colony. Then he asks Josh about Skye's story, and Josh covers for her.

Meanwhile, Skye enters the data card that Lucas gave her into the Eye, and Durwin tells Maddy that she's got nothing worth trading for, although his wheelchair does need a tire.

When Skye returns to the Sixers' camp, Lucas plugs in the data card. As complex equations appear on his computer screen, Skye says that she's seen them on the rocks near the waterfall, but she didn't tell Taylor. Lucas tells Skye that he's hated his father ever since August, 2138. She asks why. "Ask him," replies Lucas.

Jim watches footage of Skye reentering the colony through the drainage ditch. He confronts Josh, who admits lying for Skye. Then Jim tells Taylor what he knows. Taylor first wants Curran - the banished soldier who's now living with the Sixers - to confirm that Skye is the spy, then he gets another idea.

While playing chess with Skye, Taylor mentions that he'll be leading a supply convoy to Outpost 3. Meanwhile, Maddy asks Reynolds to get her a tire.

Taylor and Jim watch footage of Skye entering the drainage ditch. Taylor expects that the Sixers will attack the convoy, and he wants Jim to tail them, ready to counterattack.

When Jim hears a noise and movement in the tree line, he fires a shot into the trees. It's only three Brachiosauri, chewing on the treetops.

Back at the Sixers' camp, Mira is angry that Skye didn't tell her about the convoy. Skye claims that she didn't know. Mira threatens to withhold Skye's mother's medicine unless she provides better information. Skye replies that she helped Lucas - Mira's surprised to learn this - and if anything happens to her mother, she's through with spying.

Taylor wonders why the convoy wasn't attacked. Jim figures that Skye didn't tell Mira, noting that Skye's only been giving them minimal information because the Sixers are holding something over Skye.

Meanwhile, Lucas tells Skye that he'll be returning to 2149, but she shouldn't go back to the colony because his employers - who also hired the Sixers - are coming and they'll kill everyone who resists. Skye wants to know why. "Control the past and you control the future," replies Lucas, who is overjoyed that Taylor will know his son has finally defeated him.

Maddy gives Durwin the tire she got from Reynolds. But Boylan beat her to it, and he got Durwin's last computer core in return. Maddy tries to barter with Boylan, who needs the core to run his business, offering her organizational skills. Boylan refuses. He doesn't want to have the sheriff's daughter accessing his books, but then he gives her the core, asking her to tell Jim about this act of charity.

Skye tells her mother - who didn't know - about the spying. Skye's mother wants her to tell Taylor everything, and she urges her daughter to not come back, because she's now ready to die. After a teary-eyed embrace, Skye leaves.

Jim gives Taylor the hacked cards that Skye used to access Relay Station 9, so they go there. So does Skye, who reveals that the Sixers have a treatment for Sincyllic Fever and that Lucas is heading for the Terminus.

Lucas uses his computer to send a burst of energy from the Terminus' portal that flattens the guards. Then Taylor and Jim arrive and order him away. With swirls of light emanating from his hands, Lucas says that firing their sonic blasters will destroy the portal, cutting off Terra Nova from the future forever. When Taylor refuses to admit defeat, Lucas enters the portal. With a flash of light, the door closes, and he's gone!

Skye learns that Curran brought her mother and the Sixers' medicine - which Elisabeth believes that Malcolm can duplicate - to the colony's hospital. Taylor tells Jim that, unlike Curran, most people don't get an opportunity to atone for their mistakes. He explains that Lucas' mother died in August 2138 because he couldn't save her. Lucas has never forgiven him.

Taylor believes that Lucas has gone back to 2149 and that the people behind him and the Sixers will be coming on the 11th Pilgrimage with all their might. Upon learning this, Josh wonders if Kara will be on the 11th Pilgrimage.

Taylor tells the colony what's happened. He says that they'll fight and they'll win. Everyone nods in grim agreement.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty TERRA NOVA SEASON 1 FINALE-PART 1: EPISODE 12-OCCUPATION

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:13 pm

The episode starts with Lucas in 2149 overlooking the training of a powerful military from a balcony. His employer, Doctor Weaver, approaches him and tells him everything is in order. He then questions about the scar on Lucas's neck and Lucas tells him that he was attacked by a Nykoraptor. Weaver expresses his concern that with the Eleventh Pilgrimage, Hope Plaza would be too well guarded, but Lucas assures him that they have the best army that money could buy.
In Terra Nova, Taylor and Jim are setting up a strong defense in front of the Portal Terminus, knowing an entire army could come through. When Dunham asks why they can't just destroy the Portal Terminus, Malcolm tells him that it wouldn't do any good as that would simply cause the portal to open somewhere else within three kilometers of the colony.

The Shannon family discuss about the possible upcoming war and as the army departs, Jim promises Josh that if Kara comes through, he will get her to the colony safely. Maddy and Reynolds kiss goodbye, and Jim and Elisabeth tell the kids to hide if the fighting makes its way to the colony. Taylor and Jim head towards the portal and Washington is left in charge of the colony.

Taylor and his soldiers prepare to fight if an army comes through and the portal soon opens. Hope Plaza communicates to Taylor, asking if he is ready to receive the Eleventh Pilgrimage. Taylor thinks there may be a surprise attack, but follows standard procedure, yet still ready to play defense. Hope Plaza sends the first person through, who appears to be a normal colonist. Soldiers search him and is deemed as clear. The man's son and wife come through and are also cleared. As more colonists come through, they are checked and sent towards the colony. Finally, Kara comes through. Jim runs up and the two greet each other. Another colonist comes through, who says "Help me," before revealing he has a bomb strapped to his chest. Before anyone can react, the bomb goes off, sending everyone flying. Jim's last memories before he goes unconscious are injured, mangled colonists and soldiers alike staggering about.

Jim wakes up in the infirmary at the colony with a powerful headache and a ringing in his ears, unable to understand the nurses and doctors. Jim staggers outside, only to see the Terra Nova colony in ruins. The gates are half-destroyed, with soldiers and tanks driving about, occupying the colony, and Mira, Lucas and Weaver residing in Taylor's office. Disoriented, Jim walks over towards two of the enemy soldiers, muttering about Taylor, and one of the soldiers knocks him down with his gun and prepares to hit him again, but Elisabeth saves him saying he is confused. Elisabeth checks on Jim and fills him in that the kids are fine and that the colony was taken over three days ago; Washington surrendered after 26 colonists were killed, while Taylor is still out in the jungle somewhere.

Jim returns home and is greeted by Maddy and Zoe, who are happy to see him alive. Jim then confronts Josh, who is mourning in his room, holding the necklace that Kara gave him, who tearfully tells Jim that the explosion killed Kara.

Later that night, Jim angrily storms about upon learning the new rules that their occupiers set down for them. Every weapon in the colony was confiscated and searchlights constantly patrol the colony. Jim compares the experience to that of his time in Golad Prison and then asks where Washington is. He is glad to see that she didn't resist and therefore wasn't sent to the brig. Instead she is being kept somewhere where the occupying soldiers can keep an eye on her at all times: Boylan's Bar.

Down at Boylan's Bar, the soldiers constantly frequent it and bully Boylan so that they never pay. Jim asks Washington if they have a plan, after he reassures her that it was the right thing to do to surrender the colony. She tells Jim that the military occupying them are known as the Phoenix Group, hired killers. She also tells Jim that the explosion destroyed the Portal Terminus, however, the Phoenix army brought a new one, one that can go both ways. It was destroyed, however, after a run in with some Carnotaurus. She also informs Jim that Malcolm is working on it for them.

Meanwhile, Lucas, Mira and Weaver are searching for Jim as he might know where Taylor is hiding.

Jim confronts Malcolm and demands to know why he is working for the Phoenix Group. Malcolm is glad to see Jim is still alive and angrily tells Jim that he was pressed into service. Malcolm had refused and so the army had taken Malcolm's lab assistant, McCormick, and smashed his head in a window and let him bleed to death on the floor. Jim tells Malcolm that it is very important he stall the repair work. They then cleverly outwit Lucas, Mira and Weaver, who enter the lab, by having Jim pretend he is mentally crippled after the bomb blast and he is now hard of hearing and seemingly mentally incapable. Lucas buys it, but Mira doesn't seem so sure.

In the infirmary, Elisabeth is removing bullets and shrapnel from injured soldiers, when she begins to notice that all the bullets have a number hand etched on them. She informs Jim of this and Jim realizes that they are map coordinates...coordinates on where Taylor can be found. Jim knows that Taylor will want to talk to him and he devises a way to sneak out of the colony.

The next day as food is being handed out to the colonists, Jim informs Josh that if he wants to help, he should ask for his job back at Boylan's Bar, as he might overhear something from drunken soldiers.

Lucas and Weaver are preparing to head out in their rovers (one of which was stolen from Malcolm, much to his anger) and get the status of the supply of valuable meteoric ore that is extremely valuable in 2149. All Weaver can do is complain about the massive bug-bite on his arm, complaining how the bugs here are vicious, but Lucas seems less than interested. As the rover squadron begins to head out, they are stopped by Casey Durwin, whose motor to his wheel chair is broken. He eventually fixes it and moves; this was a key distraction for Jim to stowaway on board one of the rovers.

The rovers arrive at the cliff overlooking a valley where the commander of the Phoenix Group, Zooberg, informs Lucas and Weaver that the valley is filled with a couple hundred thousand tons of meteoric ore. Weaver, a quite greedy man, is more then delighted to get started with mining the precious material. However, Zooberg informs him that the wildlife is a problem. Weaver then grabs a gun, takes aim and fires at a Brachiosaur, which kills it. Lucas informs Weaver that they are harmless. Jim, angry at the senseless violence, takes that moment to sneak away. Zooberg then informs them that they plan to set off a bomb that would clear out the wildlife as well as the trees.

Jim meets up with Taylor, Reynolds, Dunham, Reilly and the other soldiers that survived. Taylor informs them that Carnotaurs killed two of his soldiers and asks how Washington is doing. Jim tells her that she surrendered the colony and feels like she really disappointed Taylor. He also informs Taylor that they are about to destroy the valley.

Taylor and the others arrive at the spot where a Pyrosonic bomb was planted by the Phoenix Group and Reilly prepares to disable it. However, the bomb is a different type than what Reilly is used to, but she tries to disable it to the best of her ability.

Weaver spots them from his position on the hill, and informs Zooberg and Lucas that his father is disabling the bomb. Lucas demands Weaver to detonate it, but Zooberg informs him that they are still well within the blast zone.

Reilly finally disables the bomb and they escape.

Lucas and Zooberg get back, and Lucas, in a fit of rage upon learning that Taylor successfully disabled the only bomb they had, fires a powerful cannon-like gun into the valley. It explodes in midair sending fiery debris over his father's Rhino Transport. However, they manage to dodge the fireballs and escape, causing Lucas to go into a further fit of rage.

Jim makes his way back to the colony before he is missed and when he is caught, pretends to be disoriented and had stumbled outside the gate in confusion. The guards inform Elisabeth that if he is caught outside the gates again, he will be sent back in a body bag.

Mira and Lucas relax in Taylor's office and Mira appears disgusted at Lucas's drinking habits. A Phoenix guard comes forth and asks Mira to fulfill the orders of their employers to explore an area known as The Badlands. Mira seems confused at this order and tells the guard that there is nothing out there. However, the guard won't tell her why the employers want that area explored. Weaver, meanwhile, is delighted about how rich he will become when he can get back to 2149 loaded with three whole containers of meteoric ore. Skye comes up and asks if she can speak to Lucas privately. Lucas, who oddly views Skye as his "sister", has taken a liking to her. Skye explains that since Taylor still refuses to talk to her for being the Sixers' spy, she will ally herself with Lucas.

Jim comes up with the idea of placing tracking devices on Phoenix army soldiers and rovers so that Taylor can keep tabs on them and begin to slowly hurt the army. Jim gets most of the colony involved with this. Various soldiers and rovers are taken down in the jungle, and Lucas begins to get suspicious that someone is helping his father.

At the bar, Lucas recognizes Josh as a member of the Shannon family. He cruelly taunts Josh as he can see it in Josh's eyes that Josh lost someone he cared deeply for in all of this. Josh is forced to leave when Skye comes and Lucas orders him to leave. Lucas questions Skye about his own father and seems to enjoy hearing about Taylor's pain. He then appears to make an unwanted romantic move towards Skye, to which she resists. Lucas is stopped when Josh comes forth and heroically punches Lucas in the face. Lucas then orders the soldiers to hold Josh back and Lucas delivers several blows to Josh as well. Skye, screaming, runs to go fetch Jim.

Lucas sits back and watches as his men rough Josh up until he is bleeding everywhere and severely disoriented. Boylan tries to persuade Lucas to stop, claiming that Josh is just a kid. Lucas tells Josh that he is somewhat hurt that he would be punched as he was being nice to the colony, and he now has to make an example out of him. Jim then appears and slams one of his crutches into Lucas's head and begins to fight the guards. The guards eventually overpower Jim, and Lucas, suspecting that Jim is the one helping his father, orders him to be searched. Lucas realizes he is right when he finds a tracking device in Jim's pocket. He orders both Josh and Jim to be thrown in the brig.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty TERRA NOVA SEASON 1 FINALE PART 2-EPISODE 13-RESISTANCE

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:27 pm

Lucas later confronts the two in the brig and Lucas informs Josh that he can go, due to Skye convincing Lucas to let him go. Lucas gives Jim one more chance to tell him where his father is, but Jim remains silent. Lucas then pulls some sort of electrical torture instrument out and prepares to torture Jim until he tells him.

In the infirmary, Weaver is complaining he feels worse with what the nurse injected him with for his bug-bites. Elisabeth then appears and informs Weaver that she switched what he was supposed to be injected with for the larvae of parasites that burrow their way into the brain stem of their victim so that the infected victim will die a slow and painful death. She then tells Weaver that she will give him the cure if he gets Jim out of the brig.

In the brig, Lucas is torturing Jim by giving him powerful electrical shocks. Jim asks why Lucas hates his father so much and demands to know what happened in Somalia. Lucas seems reluctant but finally reveals to Jim that during the war, he and his mother and father were captured and Taylor could only save one person, and he chose Lucas. Lucas was forced to watch as his own mother was slowly killed in front of him. Lucas said even then, at age 14, he could tell his father hated him and regretted his birth, since he had to sacrifice his wife to save Lucas. Jim tries to tell Lucas that it wasn't Taylor's fault that Lucas's mother was killed, but Lucas believes that Taylor could have done more. Weaver then appears and makes up a lie that Taylor's camp has been found. Lucas quickly leaves to prepare an army to invade, and Weaver uses this chance to help Jim escape.

Jim, in a very weakened state from being shocked multiple times, is helped home and Weaver demands the cure. Elisabeth injects Weaver with a sleeping drug and informs Weaver that she never really did inject him with any parasite. The family then begin to make their escape to go join Taylor.

Lucas, who has at this point realized that the story of finding Taylor's camp was a lie, and that Jim has escaped, has the soldiers searching everywhere for them. They break into the Shannon house and find Weaver unconscious on the couch, with Lucas simply remarking "idiot".

The family hides behind some large storage tanks on the outskirts of the colony and wait for Washington. She arrives and tells them that she won't be going with them and she will instead give them more time to escape by creating a distraction. Before preparing to provide it, she tells Jim to remind Taylor of a battle in Somalia. She then leaves, promptly destroying a building and running out towards the center of the colony. The family then escape the colony and are collected by Dunham and brought to Taylor.

Washington is captured and brought to Lucas who knows that the explosion was a distraction to help the Shannon family escape. He pulls out a pistol on her and demands to know which way they went, but Washington refuses to say anything.

Taylor and Jim watch using binoculars, with Taylor aiming a rifle at Lucas, but Jim tells him that it would only make things worse and it would give away their position.

Lucas counts down from three, allowing Washington to answer. However, she simply says, "you have your fathers eyes" as her last words. Lucas shoots her in the head point blank and Washington falls dead and Lucas coldly walks away.

At the camp, Zoe tries to help Taylor feel better by talking about what a nice woman Washington was. She tells Taylor all about the skills she taught her, such as how to make a fire and tell which way is north. She then hugs the mourning Taylor and offers him more hugs if he wants them. Reynolds and Maddy express how much they missed each other and are interrupted by Jim. Jim then goes on to tell Taylor about the battle in Somalia that Washington wanted Taylor to remember. Taylor explains that in that battle, he and his men were outnumbered on an island. The only thing connecting them to the mainland was a bridge. Taylor made the tough decision to destroy the bridge to prevent any more enemy soldiers from coming on, however, that would mean they would be cut off from the mainland and thus stuck on that island. Taylor realizes this means that, if they are to prevent any more Phoenix army from coming through the portal and destroying the land, then they must destroy the portal for good, thus cutting themselves off from 2149.

With the new portal Terminus complete, Zooberg and his men move it out into the jungle and ready it to transport the three shipments of meteoric ore through to the employers in 2149, while Lucas will drive a fourth, mysterious shipment through as well. Skye offers to go with him, which Lucas accepts.

Jim volunteers to be the one to go through the portal to destroy Hope Plaza as he knows it best as he managed to break in there once. Elisabeth worries that if Jim doesn't make it back, he will be cut off from them forever. Reynolds and Dunham then appear, disguised as Phoenix army members. Elisabeth gives Jim, in addition to the bomb that he would use to destroy the portal, a special medicine for an unknown purpose.

As Lucas drives the mystery shipment, he notices that Skye is staring at him. When he asks why, she decides to tell him that she knows how to get Lucas to reach his father. Lucas stops his Rhino Transport and when he asks if she is truly ready to ambush Taylor. She simply remarks "yes, for the ambush part anyway". Dunham and Reynolds then reveal themselves to have been Terra Nova guards and take Lucas hostage.

Dunham, Reynolds and Skye then switch the mysterious shipment with another shipment. Lucas sits inside the rover asking Skye if they are going to destroy the portal. Lucas then acts likes he has given in and that everything is all over for him. With Reynolds and Dunham gone, Lucas then breaks free of the bondage keeping his hands tied and knocks Skye out, who had been trying to start the Rhino, before fleeing on foot.

With the three shipments of meteoric ore through, Lucas tries to call Zooberg and inform him that the portal is going to be destroyed, but Zooberg can't understand him due to interference caused by the portal. Lucas then runs towards the portal to warn them.

Skye informs Taylor that Lucas has escaped and is fleeing on foot. Taylor heads out to stop him.

The shipment then arrives at to the portal, a guard apologizing that Lucas couldn't get it here himself, due to something coming up. Weaver, who doesn't seem to care at all, gets the mystery shipment (which has been replaced by a crate with Jim in it) through the portal and Jim dons his rebreather.

Lucas races through the jungle towards the portal site, but is knocked over by Taylor. A fist fight ensues, which Taylor easily wins and throws his bloodied son on the ground, with Lucas impressed that Taylor was able to beat his own son. Taylor then tells Lucas that he is glad his mother is dead, as she would be so ashamed at what Lucas has become. Lucas tells Taylor that it wasn't his fault that his mother died and begins to cry. Taylor, totally caught off guard, is shocked to discover that all these years Lucas thought it was his own fault that his mother was killed. Lucas begs for Taylor to help him and begins to apologize as he cries. He then gets up and embraces his father. Taylor realizes in great joy that Lucas is still his son, and the two appear to have made up. Suddenly, Taylor crumbles to his feet, as Lucas draws a knife from Taylor's blood soaked gut. Lucas then slumps down to Taylor's level and calls Taylor an "arrogant fool" and that it should be Taylor that should be begging Lucas for his forgiveness. He then prepares to finish Taylor off with a stab to the heart but is shot in the chest by Skye. Lucas stumbles back, bleeding heavily and tries to stab Taylor once more but is shot and knocked down by another shot from Skye. Lucas's limp body crumples into the ferns.

Jim, hiding in one of the containers in Hope Plaza, peers through a small opening as Weaver and several businessmen, the Phoenix Group employers, arrive to take a look at what all Weaver has brought back. Weaver proudly declares that he has brought with him three whole shipments of meteoric ore. The employers however, seem more interested in the shipment that Jim is hiding in, asking if they investigated The Badlands. Weaver proudly tells them that they did in fact find something, and opens the container, unaware that it was switched out with one with Jim in it. Jim slides to the back of the container, grabs the syringe Elisabeth had given to him, and injects the concealed object in the container with him, with it. As the container door drops open, a large figure inside starts stirring. Suddenly a recently awoken Carnotaurus stumbles outside, and attacks Weaver and the employers, crushing one under its foot and eating him. Jim escapes and runs out to plant the bomb somewhere. Hope Plaza appears for the most part, abandoned due to it being attacked by the Phoenix Group. Weaver and an employer take shelter behind a crate and Weaver tricks the employer into running out into the open to see if the coast is clear. However, the man's screams are heard along with the sounds of him being eaten. Jim plants the bomb and fights several soldiers along the way.

Skye dresses Taylor's wounds and apologizes to Taylor for the loss of his son. However, when they look up, Lucas is gone; he apparently had lived and has escaped.

As Jim prepares to run back to the portal, Weaver appears and holds a pistol to his head, angrily cursing at Jim, demanding if he has any idea what he has cost them, with a Carnotaurus sneaking up on Weaver. Jim tries to warn him but Weaver won't listen and he is ripped apart by the Carnotaurus and his body thrown aside. The dinosaur then chases after Jim as he takes off down the exploding walkway towards the portal before it is destroyed.

In Terra Nova, Malcolm "accidentally" breaks the Portal Terminus thus untethering the portal so Jim will appear somewhere else.

Jim makes it through the portal and eludes the Carnotaurus, making his way back to Taylor's camp and kissing Elisabeth.

Mira arrives at the Portal Terminus site. Malcolm has escaped and when Mira insists that her work is done and she wants to go back to see her daughter finally, Zooberg informs her that Hope Plaza was destroyed and they are stuck here. A grief-stricken and enraged Mira is left standing there in shock, realizing she will never see her daughter again.

As they sit at their camp, Malcolm comments that being cut off from 2149 makes the jungle seem so much bigger. Taylor suddenly gets a call from Boylan, who tells Taylor that it is now safe to call people as now no one is listening. He tells Taylor that the Phoenix Group suddenly, for no reason, left Terra Nova and headed north, not mentioning to anyone where they were going. He then tells Taylor that he is left all alone in his bar and wants it filled so he tells them to hurry home.

The group head back to Terra Nova where they are happily greeted by the colonists. As they all begin the process of repairing the colony, Taylor tells Jim that he is happy he decided not to throw Jim out the day he came to the colony. Reynolds then comes and tells Taylor that their northern most patrols spotted the Phoenix Group heading towards The Badlands. Taylor, confused, wonders why they would head out there, as there is nothing out there. Jim then tells Taylor that the container they switched out contained something they recovered in The Badlands, that the employers were interested in seeing. Taylor then has the container brought in.

They open the container and it is revealed that the object inside is a prowhead of an 18th century ship. Jim and Elisabeth question as to why and how the remains of an 18th century ship ended up in the Badlands in this time period. Taylor doesn't know, but asks what in the Badlands could be so important to them, and what else is out there waiting to be discovered in the Badlands.

Jim tells Elisabeth as they walk home that Taylor has told them not to tell anyone about what they found until they discover how a ship from that era ended up in the Badlands without going through Hope Plaza. Elisabeth agrees that it is weird. They then find Josh, Maddy and Zoe on the porch enjoying a meteor shower. They enjoy watching it and enjoy each others' company and the camera zooms out to show the Earth - green and blue in contrast to 2149's gray- and brown-colored Earth.

UNANSWERED QUESTIONS:

How did the prow of the ship get into the bad lands?
What else is out in the bad lands that the Phoenix Group would abandon Terra Nova for?
How did Lucas's employers "know" the ship's prow was in the Badlands? It predates Taylor's trip through the portal. Are they somehow responsible?
Who are the 'Employers' of the Sixers and the Phoenix Group?

I have all these questions answered.

SEASON 1 RECAP & THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2 Empty Things you should know about Season 2

Post  Commander Taylor Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:29 pm

So, now, time to recap the episodes we've done so far...nope, wrong...I'm going to let you read them. I'm currently making the last 2 episodes into scripts but if you really want to role play now, here's what you need to know:

-Lt. Washington survived the shot to the head, Lucas used a sonic blaster, she was out for several hours. She escaped when Terra Nova was still under control of the Phoenix Group. She lived in the jungle for 3 months until she was told by an unknown man to return to Terra Nova.

-In the Badlands, the Phoenix Group have made a small colony and their leader, Johan Straush aka The Slasher, is a ruthless homicidal maniac that wants to destroy Terra Nova and get back to 2149 to his daughter.

-Lucas Taylor is still alive, but he's at the old Sixer Camp.

-Two new characters named Era Jacklin and Drake were some of the only ones who survived the 11th Pilgrimage.

-Taylor, Wash, and Jim have found a way to locate the portals and the people who have gone through them. They go out on a mission to investigate a Brachiosaur that went through a portal. Era and Drake stow away in a rover. Wash takes a chopper.

-They are all captured. Drake was killed by a Carnotaurus. Mira catches them all.

-Slasher interrogates Taylor, he reveals his intentions and says, "Once Terra Nova is in ashes, you have my permission to die." Yes, I know. This is what Bane says in The Dark Knight Rises.

-They escape thanks to the help of a Empirosaurus.

-Slasher's pet Acceraptor or Slasher is killed by the Empirosaurus.

-Back at the colony, Taylor makes a speech about the serious threat that is the Phoenix Group and demands that the outposts have increased security.

That's pretty much it. Oh, also, there's this other portal that a girl from the year 2012 stumbled across and is now in Terra Nova, they have to close this portal before Slasher finds it. That's going to be the plot of the next 10 episodes. This season is 26 episodes long and we want to be done by April. Because Season 3 will start in May 2012.

Something wrong? Oh, I forgot to tell you. When making the script, I killed off Drake in the Carno chase in Devil's Canyon. I got all the Era/Drake scenes in there though, so you definitely have some idea about who Drake was. But, you were saying that you wanted to kill off Drake, so I worked his death into the Carnotaurus scene.

You should see how much writing there was in the first episode script. There's about 13 pages before we get to any of the RPG posts. I added a lot. But, we needed to have a solid beginning to our season.

Oh, I should tell you. I'm cutting out the scene with Era in The Eye with Zoe and Josh. It doesn't seem to fit well with the whole Drake and Era storyline.
