Dinosaur List- Add or Create

Here's where you'll get to see the wildlife of Terra Nova. If you want to add dinosaurs just write them in. If you want to create your own like the Acceraptor or the Nikoraptor or Ovosaurus, just give us a good description.

Name:Flare Uccello~ Flare Bird

Nicknamed: Flarer

Age: Females- 10 1/2 years; Males- 9 years

Gender: Males and Females

Appearance

Eyes: Black

Body Colors: Females: Dark brown or Grey, Black; Males: Black or Dark Grey; Newborns: Light Grey, Brown, or Black depending on the gender. The colors grow darker over time

Feather Colors: Dark Red, Orange, Pale Yellow, or a Very Dark Blue; Feathers lie flat, but when about to attack, they flare up, thus, getting their name

Feathers located: Males: Near the Back of head, then runs down back to the base of the tail; Females: Near back of the head, the runs down the shoulders; Newborns: Near Back of their head, rest grow in around when they are 2-3 years of age

Height: Females: 7 Feet; Males: 6 1/2 Feet; Newborns: 2 feet

Weight: Females: 715 pounds; Males: 610 pounds; Newborns: 25 pounds

Other: They have spikes at the tip of their tails that are "poisoned" with paralyzing "poison". At the base of the tail is where the gland that holds the paralyzing "poison" is located

Prey: They are carnivores, and eat anything smaller than themselves

Calls: They sound like birds. They sound like Hawks, Blue Jays, and Robins

Call Meaning: Hawk: going to attack; Blue Jay: Mating call; Robin: Hurt/Dieing

Speed: Top Speed: 56 mph; Usually Go: 42-45 mph

Personality: Very aggressive and territorial

Strengths: They are very fast; Their "poisoned" Tails; They are Strong

Weaknesses: If the;r poisoned gland is punctured or torn, it can either 1. become blocked, then "explode" causing great pain and killing them; or 2. the poison could get into the bloodstream, and paralyze them. Their chest has no protection, so that is one weak point. If you could get to attack from behind, go for where the feathers on its head, meet the head. If you could stab that area, you would crush its scull.

Mates/Babies: One female mates every 2 years. The female chases off or kills the male after the eggs are laid. There are 5-12 eggs in one litter

Other: They can swim, not fast, but they can swim. If you or its are punctured with the spikes, you have 2-5 minutes before you are completely paralyzed

Appearance

Eyes: Red

Body Colors: Females: Dark red, Black; Males: Black, Green

Feather Colors: No feathers

Height: Females: 13 Feet; Males: 10 Feet; Newborns: 4 feet

Weight: Females: 1,200 pounds; Males: 950 pounds; Newborns: 25 pounds

Other: They have two twisted horns coming out of the back of their heads. They've been called Devil Lizards.

Prey: They are carnivores, and eat anything smaller than themselves

Calls: They make a weird wailing noise, almost like a scream.

Speed: Top Speed: 35 mph; Usually Go: 15-30 mph

Personality: Very aggressive and territorial

Mates/Babies: One female mates every 15 months. The parental habits of Diablosaurs are up to debate but it has been observed that they both care for and provide for their young There are 3-5 eggs in one litter

Other: They can swim, not fast, but they can swim. They can jump.

Other: They alphas are the largest wolves of the pack

Speed: Top Speed: 55mph Usually Go: 40mph

Personality: Aggressive and territorial; can be tamed if a pup

Strengths: They travel in packs, can swim well

Weaknesses: they are weak if alone, or hurt

Mates/Babies: females mate every Spring; have 4-6 eggs in one litter; Mates for life

Other: This is a Dino ancestor of the wolf. It has fur, but is laid in an egg.

I accept...I just have one question...is it a bipedal or quadrapedal? Meaning: 2 legged or four legged.

I'd be guessing quadrupedal seeing as it's a wolf ancestor. :/ Just saying.

Hmm...I'd like to see a picture of this sometime...a wolf-dino...awesome... and Wash, they had two-legged shark dinos in the last season, ya never know with Terra Nova.
